Participation in the Graduation Ceremony 2020
We kindly invite all RWTH Aachen graduates from the summer semester of 2019 and the winter semester of 2019/20 to the 2020 Graduation Celebration. The event is currently scheduled to take place on September 5, 2020.
The requirements for participation are as follows:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diplom, State Examination and Magister students:
The date of your degree certificate must fall between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020.
- Doctoral candidates:
For doctoral candidates, completion of the doctoral degree is decisive for participation in the graduation ceremony. Eligible to participate are doctoral candidates who receive their doctorate certificate in the period between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2020.
- Bachelor’s Graduates Enrolled in a Master’s Program
Also eligible to participate are Bachelor’s graduates who complete their degree in April 2020 (and thus after the end of the winter semester of 2019/20; see date of degree certificate) and who retroactively enroll in a Master’s program at RWTH for the summer semester of 2020.
- Model degree program Medicine and Dentistry:
For these courses of study, special regulations apply, as degree completion typically takes place very early in the semester. Thus, graduates in Medicine and Dentistry from the 2019/20 winter semester and the 2020 summer semester are eligible to apply.
The registration progress for the 2020 Graduation Celebration takes place in two steps:
You now have the the opportunity to pre-register yourself at our registration platform to participate in the Graduation Celebration. The deadline for pre-registration is Mid-June, 2020. In February 2020, we will send an email to all (potential) graduates with further information.
- Ticket Sale
In July 2020 all pre-registered individuals who have officially completed their degrees in the relevant period of time will be informed via email about how to actually acquire tickets for the event. Graduates can purchase tickets for themselves and up to three guests.
