The amount of information that operators have about their assets in the digital space is constantly increasing. This data plays a crucial role in the value chain and its interoperability is of great importance. To achieve this interoperability, the data can be stored together with its semantic information in the form of standardized information models. One possible implementation of this concept is the concept of Asset Administration Shell.
Asset Administration Shells can not only serve as information repositories, but also act as "data plugs." This makes it possible to retrieve asset information from diverse systems through a unified interface. To effectively explore the data in management shells, a query language (Data Query Language) should be developed, including the algorithms needed to do so. This will make it possible to cover both the data stored in management shells and the data in bound systems with just one query.
